As a young boy, Ashton’s life was seemingly typical; he was popular and outgoing. Ashton made friends with ease and was always exploring new adventures. People often described him as kind-hearted and endearing. However, the life we lived behind closed doors held a different truth for our family. Until now, it hasn’t been shared in its entirety.

At the age of ten, Ashton tasted alcohol for the first time.

By the age of eleven, he was experimenting with smoking marijuana. 

Sadly, what seemed to be a normal teenage curiosity quickly escalated into snorting prescription medication, heroin, cocaine and consuming psychedelic drugs. His life spiraled into deadly addictions and an existence of crime to support it. As soon as he woke in the morning, with desperation, Ashton planned ways to score a hit for his next high.
